This past weekend Katie and I were down in LA and shot Pinky and Jim’s wedding at the Pacific Palms Resort. It was a Hindu/Christian wedding with two separate ceremonies, full of amazing details and touching traditions. All in all, it was a fantastic day for Pinky and Jim and their 450 guests!
I’ll apologize in advance for how many images I posted, but there was so much going on that these are just a few of the highlights of the day!!
The view from our balcony at the start of the day. Pretty sweet!

I loved their programs. Very cool.
Loved this shot that Katie grabbed of Pinky and her dad taking a golf cart up to the ceremony site, just minutes away from the start of the wedding.
Jim, during the Christian ceremony.
At the start of the Hindu ceremony, the groom’s friends and family process to the ceremony site with lots of dancing, drumming and shouting! It’s a really cool part of the day to witness, and it truly expressed the joy of the event!
A few cool moments during the Hindu ceremony.
After the ceremony, the bride and groom have a going away ceremony and it’s very symbolic of the finality of the bride leaving her family and being joined to the groom. It was a very emotional moment.
Pinky and Jim got ready all over again with new outfits and makeup before the reception! I loved grabbing this quick shot while Pinky was getting her hair done.
A couple quick shots of the two of them together.
The reception was absolutely beautiful. I could have posted 50 pictures from just the reception, but here are a few of my favorites.
Jim’s dad during the toast.
Several family memebers performed dances for the two of them, here’s a shot from one of them.

From the first dance.
They knew how to party! 🙂
