INDUSTRY – Hall of Fame baseball stars Frank Robinson, Rod Carew and Tony Gwynn hit the local links for a good cause Friday.

They were joined by former major leaguers Al Downing, Darrell Jackson, Ken Landreaux, Mark McLemore, Dave Stewart, Devon White and Darrell Miller at the Pacific Palms Conference Resort Eisenhower Course for a golf tournament to raise money for programs and uniforms for the Major League Baseball Urban Youth Academy.

All proceeds from participating parties went straight to the Urban Youth Academy, which is part of Major League Baseball’s urban youth initiative that offers free baseball and softball instruction as well as clinics throughout Southern California.
