L.A. new Hotels
(Excerpt) LOS ANGELES — Several hotels in Los Angeles County are currently under construction or have been recently developed.
The following is a summary of some of these new hotel developments.
Pacific Palms Resort – Set on a hilltop of 650 wooded acres with sweeping views of Los Angeles, the Pacific Palms Resort has just completed a $60 million renovation that has transformed the property into an ideal venue for meetings and retreats. Pacific Palms has more than 45,000 square feet of function space, including a 12,000-square-foot ballroom, 28 meeting and breakout rooms, a business center and technology café. Its 292 newly renovated guestrooms, six suites and two presidential suites are decorated with an eclectic California flair including granite bathroom surfaces, floor-to-ceiling windows with plantation shutters, balconies, executive-style workstations and ergonomic chairs. The two 4-star Golf Digest-rated championship courses have been fully refurbished, as have the driving range, practice area and three putting greens. The newly opened 11,000-square-foot lifestyle Spa at Pacific Palms features a Zen-like environment and a wide-ranging menu including traditional, cutting-edge and Asian-inspired custom treatments. The final touch was completed on May 8 when RED Restaurant & Bar opened. A hip destination restaurant, RED features fireside dining and stunning views.
